Radio Tesla

In 1902 Nikola Tesla began work on what he expected to be the first global wireless communication system. He conceptualized and constructed a tower that he felt had the potential of transmitting wireless radio and a global electrical system. The antenna, to be completed off the coast of Long Island Sound, would rise up 187 feet from the ground.

neuroTransmitter 're-constructed' Tesla's tower as a wall size line drawing made of wire. This 'drawing as antenna' was attached to a mini-fm radio transmitter. Broadcasting a specific and relational sound suite to local radios placed within the Drawing Center and tuned to our frequency.
